The success of this project depends upon broad participation by both K-12 and postsecondary educators throughout South Carolina. We would be pleased to have your continued involvement in this project. While there will be many ways to be involved over this three-year process, below are a few of the initial ways you can remain involved. Please indicate below if you would like more information about any of the following South Carolina Course Alignment Project activities.

Activities

Become a member of a paired course development team

Paired course teams include faculty from both high school and postsecondary institutions that work together to create a high school course and a sequent postsecondary course that provides a college-level experience and seamless transition.

Participate in piloting a paired course

Participants in the piloting process will implement paired courses and provide feedback for improvements.

Assist with distributing project information throughout local regions

Communication and information dissemination are critical components of the South Carolina Course Alignment Project. Periodically, we will need help with distributing information and need individuals throughout the state to assist in these efforts.

Provide input and feedback at various milestones in the project

Expert input and feedback are vitally important components of the project. Throughout the project, we will be soliciting input and gathering feedback on project outcomes.

Provide comment on the recommended college ready standards

Review and comment.

Receive the periodic project newsletter

A periodic newsletter will be available online to share progress and we can send an email reminder when the latest newsletter becomes available.
